Dr. Suborno Bose is a first-generation entrepreneur, visionary educationist, and globally respected leader in hospitality education and skill development. As Founder-Chairman and Chief Mentor of the International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) and Indismart Group Worldwide, Dr. Bose has spent over 25 years transforming hospitality education across India and abroad.
He pioneered world-class institutions including IIHM, IAM, IIHS, and IIPC, each designed to deliver global-standard learning experiences. Under his leadership, IIHM has grown into Asia’s largest chain of premier hotel schools with international campuses, producing graduates recognised worldwide.
Dr. Bose is also a trailblazer in integrating Artificial Intelligence into hospitality education. With NamAIste IIHM HospitalityGPT—the world’s first AI model tailored for the service sector—he has redefined learning and industry readiness for students and professionals.
His social vision is equally powerful. The “Food Soldier” initiative, aligned with the UN’s Zero Hunger mission, mobilises thousands of students to combat food waste and hunger. Dr. Bose also founded the International Young Chef Olympiad, the world’s largest culinary competition with participants from 89+ countries, positioning India as a hub for global culinary engagement.
